Returning from Summer Vacation 2008

This year, a trip to Mavillette Beach in Nova Scotia left a memorable impression.
We anticipated warm sunny weather and hoped to spend an afternoon enjoying a picnic lunch soaking up some sun. As we drove toward the grass covered sand dune that separates the beach from the main land, a wall of sea fog and mist descended all around.

Reading, Re-writing and the Repercussions

Since this blog is geared toward writing of all sorts, it seems only natural to contribute some form of “how to write” article. However, the Internet as a virtual storehouse is overflowing with an abundance of web sites offering excellent advice on all aspects of the written word. To offer similar articles outlining the technical use of commas or how to develop a three dimensional character would be redundancy ad nauseum.
Instead, what follows is a guideline based on personal experience writing fiction, pointing out three areas where the most education has been culled: the processes of reading and re-writing, and the repercussions of being a writer.
